What Else Should I Expect?
Fuck fuck fuck.
Good news first: 10-12 measurable follicles. We are not cancelled. Yet.
Bad news:
The following things were said by the doctor...
"Fluid in the uterus...possible frozen cycle...might cancel you...need to drain it...you're behind...not what we were expecting to see at this point."
So I got drained and flushed out right then and there. It was basically 3 IUIs in 10 minutes. I squeezed DHs hand so hard. The fluid (gross by the way) explains why I've been suddenly spotting since starting stims. Fuck.
E2 level yesterday, 4 days into stims was 58.0 pg/ml. My local piece of shit lab never faxed it to STL of course, so I had to call my doctor's office back home to get the crappy result.
I have to up the Follistim to 150 IU in the a.m. and 150 IU in the pm with my 75 IU Repronex.
If my lining doesn't look awesome, Dr. S won't allow a fresh transfer. Fair enough. But I'm 28! I should be an all-star at this shit!
I took a couple pictures before the shit hit the fan:

I know it's easier said than done, but just try to stay positive. For what it's worth, I think 10-12 measurables sounds great; there could be quite a few more that just missed the cutoff for measurability. I'll be keeping you in my prayers that things work outand you can proceed as planned!
I know it sucks so bad to have things like this come up! But you have plenty of time to make those E2 levels and follies do what they need to do. I will be praying that things start looking up for you! A lot can change (for the good) in a short period of time. I have also seen people stim for almost 3 weeks and still not get canceled. Good luck!
Damn it. I am so sorry about the fluid and e2 levels. Hopefully, it is not as bad as it may seem and it won't get cancelled. What a scary thing to go through. Please keep hoping for the best! I am praying for you.
The fluid really sucks...I am praying for you! I know your doctor will do whats best for you. Hang in there.
I am so, so sorry things aren't looking great. Remember that things can turn around quickly, and I'm sure your doctor has your absolute best interests in mind.
Totally sucky! I've been praying for you every night though! What do the do when they drain you?
Don't give up hope! Some women just take longer to stim than others (see myself as a great example). 10 - 12 follicles is great -- it seems like most women have much higher quality eggs when they don't have oodles of follicles. I'm sorry about the fluid, but I'm glad it was taken care of. Hang in there!
Well damn. I hope things turn around soon, and that your transfer - whether fresh or frozen - is helpful. I can't tell you what to expect, as my cycle was textbook perfect. Till the pregnancy test of course. So, look, I'm not a blower of sunshine up the ass, as you've no doubt gathered. I'm not telling you everything is going to be fantastic and wonderful and we'll be blowing dandelion fluff in a meadow. But if a textbook perfect cycle can go to hell in a handbasket, then a textbook bad cycle can still work. Right? I dunno, but let's just go with that.
Also I stimmed for 12 days. However that factors into what you're thinking. I was never told my E2 at any point though, and I ended up stimming an extra day or two b/c it was low.
Neither of my stimulation cycles were perfect, but I ended up two for two pregnancy-wise (one was an FET rather than the initial transfer). It's not about perfect, it's about good enough, and it's early days yet. Best of luck, and I hope that fluid stays away!
Oh Christa.... I'm sorry it wasn't a good day. That fluid draining thing sounds like no fun at all. But it's not over till it's over. I am praying that your cycle stays on track.
Oh and... You too with the lab results BS?? Geez how hard is it to send an effing fax? We shouldn't have to be dealing with that.
Big hugs to you---
